Skills used: As a co-founder I used a multitude of design skills from brand creation, ideas, product design, creative direction, marketing, social, email, video direction, decks and pitches - to critical and strategic thinking; seeing first hand, brand and design through a business lens.
Challenges: The eco-space was fairly dry in 2019 and we wanted to create a fun and playful brand/platform/subscription service to support projects that would help the climate emergency. This was a tight line to tread as too playful became flippant and unrelatable, or too serious and you'd lose people's attention. Another huge challenge was to build a highly ethical business from scratch. From 3 founders to a B-Corp certified business and team of 80 people in 4 years.
Outcome: Ecologi’s brand is highly regarded, and inspires many other eco-brands today. We became a market leader across Europe and Ecologi has helped fund over 130 climate and nature projects globally, with 80 million trees, and >20k business customers.
